Current catalog and two important adjustments
When enterprises identify hazardous chemicals in the catalog, they should base it on the "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition)" published by the Ten Departments in 2015 No. 5 Announcement, and use it in conjunction with subsequent official adjustment announcements. The original 2002 version of the directory has been abolished.
1. Adjustment of diesel items
Announcement No. 8 of 2022 of the Ten Departments adjusted item 1674 from "diesel [closed cup flash point ≤ 60°C]" to "diesel", which will be effective from January 1, 2023.
2. Five new hazardous chemicals will be added in 2026
The Ministry of Emergency Management and ten other departments announced No. 3 of 2026 to include the following five chemicals in the "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition)":
- 3-Chloropropyne
- 2-iodoacylbenzoic acid
- 2-Nitrobenzyl diazoacetoacetate
- Methanesulfonyl azide
- 2-Nitro-3-methylbenzoic acid
The Ministry of Emergency Management notified relevant enterprises to apply for safety production, operation or use licenses in accordance with the law, and complete the registration of hazardous chemicals. Enterprises should check using the Department of Emergency Management’s latest hazardous chemical inquiry and classification information table.
